Restorative dentistry is one of the most challenging yet rewarding fields in dentistry. Restoring a look or smile must not only exceed a patient’s expectations, it must meet the high standards of the restorative dentist. “My work is there for the patient and the world to see,” says Andrews, “and I take this responsibility very seriously. It’s personal with me and my work is who I am. I strive to achieve the best result possible.”

With every restorative case, Andrews considers the possibilities and sequencing of treatment to coincide with insurance benefits. From his 30+ years of practice he still rehearses the procedures he’ll be performing on a patient before picking up a dental handpiece; he consults with the dental laboratory, selecting the dental materials that will work best for his patient before starting treatment. “Pre-planning is everything,” says Andrews.
rAndrews graduated from Hamilton College in upstate New York and obtained his D.D.S. degree from Columbia University in New York City. After a general practice internship in the U.S. Army and a two-year tour in Germany, Andrews completed a two-year Prosthodontic Residency at University of South Carolina. Following two years of teaching at the University of Maryland Dental School, Dr. Andrews entered private practice in Annapolis in the 1980s. Dr. Andrews lives in Severna Park with his wife, Jean; he has two daughters and three grandchildren all residing in Maryland.
r“I’m fortunate to have an adult restorative practice with great patients and great hygienists. Many of my patients have become good friends. What more could I ask for?”
