Q: When should a business or individual consult with their tax professional?
A: Tax planning should be visited yearround. Changes in your personal life such as marriage, divorce, children, and employment can have a significant impact on your tax situation. Business entities should consult their tax professional anytime there are changes in ownership, major capital purchases, significant changes in revenues and or expenses, or a change in business structure. It’s almost always too late to implement tax strategies after year end, so call Shore Accountants today to find out what tax planning strategies can work for you in 2012.- Heather Tinelli
