OnbrThursday, September 19th the Alliance of the Chesapeake hosted its annual Taste of the Chesapeake fundraising event at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis. Guests enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and samplings from a variety of area restaurants, beer and wine, and live music on the patio. The Alliance recognized Ann Pesiri Swans of the Chesapeake Bay Commission with the Environmental Leadership Award, as well as Carin Bisland of the EPA’s Chesapeake Bay Program Office and Steven W. Koehn of Maryland DNR Forest Service, as Special Recognition Watershed Champions. This year’s event sold out at nearly 300 attendees.
