Chesapeake Charities cele ated leaders who exemplify what is good and noble in our society in a sold-out event at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club in Stevensville. Governor Larry Hogan was honored for the courage and leadership he displayed while battling advanced stage non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and his doctor, Aaron Rapoport, of the University of Maryland Greenebaum Cancer Center, was recognized for transforming cancer treatment. Other honorees included the Philanthropist of the Year Marianne Harms, Volunteer of the Year Amelia Foxwell, and the Partnering for Youth After School Program.
