What's Up? Media Donates Proceeds from Best of Party
Veronica Tovey, Publisher of What’s Up? Media, presented Kate Fritz of The South River Federation with a charitable donation of $1,500. All donations were made possible by the proceeds collected at the silent auction during What’s Up? Media’s Best of Party held this past June.

Bay-CSS Former Board President and Current Board Member, Mike Meade, Receives St. Mary’s County Volunteer of the Year Award
At a ceremony held at the Chesapeake Building in Leonardtown on Tuesday, July 26th, Bay-CSS Former Board President and Current Board Member, Mike Mead, received the Volunteer of the Year Award from the St. Mary’s County Commission for People with Disabilities.
Mead has volunteered on the board of Bay Community Support Services for 15 years in various leadership roles including serving as president for 13 of them.
Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County Announces Two New Hires
The Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County (CFAAC) announced two new additions to its team of experts: Kathy Shaffer, Manager, Communications and Events, and Jan Hoffberger, Manager, Grants and Scholarships.
Shaffer is responsible for internal and external communications and ings more than 18 years of marketing and public relations agency experience. Hoffberger oversees all grants and scholarships awarded by CFAAC.
