Raising Money and Raising Awareness One Selfless Act at a Time
brbrAfter her mother became a breast cancer survivor, Biana Arentz felt compelled to do something, so she decided to give back to the community and become a member of the Bosom Buddies Charity, which advocates and fundraises toward breast cancer awareness and research.brbrOutside of her full-time job as a Coldwell Banker Real Estate Agent, Arentz has been a member of the Bosom Buddies Charities for the last 11 years and currently sits as the Chair of this nonprofit organization. During her time with the charity, Arentz has been a part of a community that not only raises money, but is constantly raising awareness.

brbrMost recently, the Bosom Buddies Charity was honored with a street on the Anne Arundel Medical Center Campus called Bosom Buddies Way after raising $1.5 million in donations. If you haven’t seen it, head around Belcher Pavilion, where it used to be called West Drive, and you’ll see the pink sign with white lettering on both ends of the street. You won’t want to miss it!
brbrJoin Arentz, Governor Larry Hogan, and the rest of the Bosom Buddies Committee in the fight against breast cancer at the 2017 Bosom Buddies Ball this Saturday, January 7th, 5:30 p.m. at the Westin Annapolis Hotel. Tickets are $250 per person.

Twelfth Night: A Christmas Concert

brJoin the Élan Ensemble ladies for a festive harp and voice Christmas concert in the ballroom at Hammond-Harwood House, as they celebrate the 12th day of Christmas in a traditional 19th century manner. During the 1800's, Christmas day was reserved for family celebrations and helping those less fortunate, while Twelfth Night marked the society event of the season, where friends and loved ones gathered together to celebrate the final hours of Christmas cheer.
8th Annual Oyster Fest with Peter James

brHead over to Sam’s on the Waterfront for a great annual oyster festival! The party will feature live music from Peter James. The festival will be mainly outside, weather permitting. brFriends of Eastern Neck, Inc. announces the second year of five Winter Waterfowl Walks at Eastern Neck NWR, one per month! Conditions permitting, thousands of Canada geese, tundra swans, scup, ruddy ducks, buffleheads, mallards, black ducks, canvasbacks, mergansers, grebes, and wood ducks can be spotted as the winter progresses. Resident bald eagles are often observed at Eastern Neck, as well as other local wildlife.
