Presentation: Sometimes the best fishing spots are the ones closest to home. Shawn will explain some of his proven techniques for catching species like perch, pickerel, bluefish, and rockfish right here in the Severn River. He’ll also provide some advice about how to keep our fisheries healthy so they can be enjoyed by future generations.
Oyster Reef Photography Workshop

Please come learn how to place and retrieve the cameras for underwater photography with our friends from SERC. Over the summer, participants will join SRA staff on our research vessel and collect critical data about the aquatic life that calls our restoration reefs home.

Bring your own lunch and join our Executive Director, Jesse Iliff, to learn how land use impacts our streams, the damage eroding streams cause to our rivers and what can be done to correct the mistakes of the past.
Following our discussion, we will walk the stream and remove litter. Please wear sturdy shoes, bring a refillable water bottle, sunscreen and bug spray. Gloves and trash bags will be provided.
