Workshop: Resources & Strategies for Children's Music
February 25th, 10 a.m. to Noon; St Margaret's Church, Annapolis
Sponsored by the Annapolis Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, this workshop will cover resources (and how to adapt them for local circumstances) practical tips on starting and maintaining a children's choir, and a discussion of ways to reach singers of all ages and keep them motivated and growing.

We took the concept of the big home show and adapted it to the local community, offering the customers a wide variety of qualified exhibitors, and added educational and entertainment components. Our locally grown homeowner events vary in size from 55 booths to 120 booths and showcase everything for the home including kitchens, baths, exterior products, flooring, heating and air, geothermal, blinds and window treatments, lawn and landscape, security and alarm systems, bedding, cookware, general contractors, additions and remodels. We don’t try to be the biggest show but focus on creating a great marketplace for customers interested in hiring contractors and home service providers for their most important investment- their home, all close to home in a great setting.

United States Naval Academy Band Brass Quintet
February 26th, 3 p.m.; St Christopher's Church, Kent Island
Join us as the Brass Quintet presents an exciting concert of well-known patriotic music, cutting edge compositions, and brass quintet standards. The program will feature works by Anthony DiLorenzo, Oskar Bohme, Billy Strayhorn, Henry Fillmore, Antonin Dvorak (arranged by Jari Villanueva), and Samuel Ward.
Free Ham Radio License Classes
February 26th, 1 p.m.; Anne Arundel Radio Club, Davidsonville
Our FREE Technician License Courses is designed to introduce the average person to the world of Amateur Radio. It requires no prior knowledge of radio or electronics, though you will learn some of both during the course. The class is specifically designed to give you the skills needed to pass the FCC Element 2 Exam. The Technician License comes with complete UHF and VHF privileges typically used for relatively local communication, and some limited access to the HF bands and the rest of the world.
