Winter Jam Basketball Tournament
December 27th and 28th; Severna Park High School
The annual high school basketball tournament hosted by Severna Park High School will take place on Wednesday, December 27 and Thursday, December 28. Come watch some of our favorite local teams – all in one place. This family-friendly event includes JV and Varsity high school athletes from Annapolis Area Christian School, Old Mill, Kennedy, Clarksburg, Green Street Academy, Carver, Wilde Lake, Watkins Mill, and Severna Park. Game times 8am-6:45pm.

Annapolis New Years Eve Fireworks for the Family
December 31st, 4-6 p.m.; Susan Campbell Park
The City of Annapolis is hosting a family-friendly New Year's Eve event with Priddy Music Academy and Chesapeake Children's Museum from 4-5:30pm in Susan Campbell Park, with a small fireworks display at 7 pm. A larger fireworks display takes place at midnight over Annapolis Harbor.
Phillips Wharf Environmental Center Winter Grand Opening
December 31st, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Easton Point Park
Join us at our new location inside Easton Point Park! We’ll have our animals on display and coloring activities for the kids. We'll also have hot chocolate and hot apple cider to keep you warm. At 12:00 pm, we'll be drawing the winners for our Year End FUNdraising raffle. December 31st, 8 p.m.; Annapolis Waterfront Hotel
On Sunday, December 31st, starting at 8:30pm, enjoy a full open bar with heavy hors d’oeuvres, food stations, DJ and dancing in our Ballroom and on our Patio, and the best view of Annapolis’ midnight fireworks, complete with a champagne toast! A portion of the proceeds will benefit the SPCA of Anne Arundel County, and they will also be on-site to talk about their goals and programs, as well as have some adoptable dogs looking for their furever homes. 100% of the proceeds for the raffles will go to the SPCA of Anne Arundel County.

A family friendly, alcohol and drug free New Year’s Eve Celebration of the Arts in Easton! First Night Talbot has entertainment and fun for the whole family. Traditionally, events are spread out among venues in downtown Easton, Maryland, culminating with the world-famous Crab Drop at midnight (and 9 p.m. for the early birds).

The Penguin Swim is a fun, annual event to support our not-for-profit community hospital. Each year, hundreds of Penguins raise funds to help the hospital provide the excellent quality care our community depends on.
Chesapeake Chorale - Open Rehearsal
January 2nd; Christian Community Presbyterian Church, Bowie
The Chesapeake Chorale, an auditioned singing ensemble of 40-50 members now in its 43rd year, will be holding an open rehearsal on Tuesday, 7:30pm, 2 January at the Christian Community Presbyterian Church in Bowie. All voice parts welcome. Highlights of the 2023-2024 season will be medleys from the musicals “Rent” and “Sunday in the Park with George”, as well as Mozart’s “Solemn Vespers” with chamber orchestra.
