The concert is the sole fundraising event supporting Dr. Maria Boria’s efforts to treat the medical needs of migrant workers at her free clinic in Marydel. Each of the performers found a different way to incorporate this year’s theme of “water” into their act, mostly through lyrics, but also through props and instruments (including the well-suited rain stick). In conjunction with the concert, the Imperial Hotel donated a portion of its proceeds from a special fixed-price menu to the cause.
