I arrived in Phoenix on Wednesday night and was able to generally relax. My parents took me out to dinner at my favorite restaurant, Oregano's (if you are ever in Phoenix, go to Oregano's!), and then I went home, watched "Glee" on the DVR, and made programs with my mom.
Thursday, however, was the beginning of the whirlwind.
I somehow managed to go to the airport three times that day, get my nails done, run errands at Target and Joanne Fabrics, and then get dolled up for my bachelorette party. And that, my friends, is where this story truly begins.
Welcome to Kelsey's bachelorette party. Below is your gracious host, maid of honor and my sister, Kate.
Kate did a magnificent job of planning this tropical-tiki themed event. I knew it was going to be something special when I returned from picking bridesmaids up at the airport and discovered tiki torches in our front yard. The party started with each guest being offered a Hawaiian margarita or a blue Hawaiian when she arrived.
Hawaiian Martini

Mix the juices and vodka together and pour into a martini glass.
Blue Hawaiian
1 oz. Light Rum
1 oz Blue Curacao
2 oz Pineapple Juice
Mix and serve in a martini glass.
Below is the food table, though this photo was taken rather early in the night. In addition to sushi and fruit skewers, which can be seen below, we dined on coconut shrimp, egg rolls, and a variety of dumplings. Delicioiso!

To start off the night, the guests -- 13 girls in all! -- played a few games. The first was a "how well do you know Kelsey and David" trivia game, with questions like, "How did Kelsey and David meet?" (Match.com), and "Where are Kelsey and David eventually going on a honeymoon?" (Jamaica, even though it's more likely to be a one-year anniversary trip). Not too surprisingly, one of my best friends, Lauren, won the game.
Next up: Toilet paper brides!
We divided into teams of three and created wedding dresses out of toilet paper. I'm proud to say that the wedding dress I created, modeled on Debra on the far left, won the game. As for what's going on with Erin, second from right, I really can't say.
Before we headed out, some of the gals had brought gifts for me (am I lucky or what?) Since it was a bachelorette party, I'm sure you can guess what these gifts entailed -- and why I'm going to keep those photos to myself!
Then, it was time to head out. My sister had rented a party bus for the night -- what fun! And you can see how they dressed me up to make sure everyone knew I was the bride for the night -- I had a veil on my head and multiple necklaces around my neck. This ensured that all night long, people were stopping me to say congratulations!
We headed out to the bars down near Arizona State University. At the very top of this post is a picture from a bar called The Big Bang, which is a dueling piano bar. Shortly after we arrived, the pianists called all of us up on stage for our very own special song. From there, we headed to two other bars, and in general, had a lot of fun.
The night was amazing. A party bus with 13 of my best friends -- how could it get any better?
