3rd Annual Lights and Leashes at Lights on the Bay
Presented by SPCA of Anne Arundel County and Anne Arundel Medical Center, Thursday, November 19th, 6-10 p.m.
brBring your canine companion and enjoy a two-mile scenic walk along the Chesapeake Bay featuring 70 animated and stationary illuminated holiday displays. You’ll get a sneak peek before the park is open to vehicles. All proceeds benefit the SPCA.
Annapolis Motorcycle Toy Parade
Hosted by Anne Arundel County Toys for Tots and Chesapeake Cycles, Saturday, November 21st, 9-11:30 a.m.
This festive parade will be led by Santa Claus in a fire truck escorted by Police motorcycles and registered riders decked out in holiday attire on bikes decorated with Christmas lights. All fees go directly to U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots for use in Anne Arundel County.
Toys for Tots Collection
At Anne Arundel Community College, Now through Saturday, November 21st, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Anne Arundel Community College hosts a Toys for Tots collection site at their Public Safety and Police Department, Central Services Building on College Drive (second entrance). AACC has been the largest collection in the county for the past six years. Help them stay on top with your donation.
16th Annual Festival of Wreaths
At Pleasant Day Medical Adult Day Care, Now through Thursday, December 3rd (Mondays through Fridays).
100 donated designer wreaths are on display and part of the silent auction to benefit Pleasant Day Medical Adult Care. There are also more than 16 themed Christmas trees on display. You can even vote for your favorite wreath to win the “People’s Choice” award.
National Ocean Exploration Day
Saturday, November 21st, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
brJoin the National Aquarium for National Ocean Exploration Day. Guests will engage in discussions around what is new in the field of ocean exploration and enjoy interactive programming and demonstrations of technological advances. Visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in a show-and-tell from Florida State University’s Dr. Sandra Brooke about recent deep-sea explorations off the coasts of Maryland and Virginia.
