Annapolis Film Festival – Downtown Annapolis Thursday, March 21st through Saturday, March 23rd Calling all movie-lovers! The Annapolis Film Festival returns for its seventh year. Enjoy four days of panels, events, parties, and over 70 films, including diverse shorts, documentaries, and feature films. Festival goers will also have the chance to socialize and converse with local and international artists and moviemakers. The venues will include Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, Asbury United Methodist Church, St. John’s College, and Annapolis Elementary School. Joe's Night: A Reunion Fundraiser – Renditions Golf Course, Davidsonville Friday, March 22nd, 7 p.m. For a generation of young boys and girls who loved baseball, Joe Loschiavo was a constant presence at the South Maryland Little League fields in the Davidsonville area. Joe's Night: A Reunion Fundraiser” will be a special night to remember Joe and raise money to keep the passion and sense of community that he instilled in all of us alive. The evening will include hors d'oeuvres, an open bar, a DJ, silent auction, and casino games. Davidsonville Green Expo – Homestead Gardens, Davidsonville Saturday, March 23rd, 11 a.m. Presented by the Davidsonville Area Civic Association (DACA) and hosted by Homestead Gardens, the Annual Davidsonville Green Expo features exhibitors offering information, education, and demonstrations on environmentally-friendly products, sustainable lifestyle, lawn and garden techniques, agricultural practices, energy use, water conservation and preservation, recycling, and land use and conservation. Blue Jeans and Bling – Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds, Crownsville Saturday, March 23rd, 6 p.m. Join the South Shore Elementary School (SSES) PTA for its largest fundraising event of the year, Blue Jeans and Bling. Held at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds, this fun-filled evening will feature a live and silent auction, mechanical bull, food from Mission BBQ, a bake-off, and live music. Proceeds from the event will support the SSES PTA and its mission to connect the home, school, and community, and to enrich every child’s learning experience. Ninth Annual Annapolis Oyster Roast and Sock Burning – Annapolis Maritime Museum Sunday, March 24th, 12 p.m. Celebrate the coming of spring with a unique Annapolis tradition: tossing your old winter socks into a bonfire. Admission includes unlimited raw and roasted oysters, live music, admission to the museum’s exhibits, and a chance to enter the oyster-shucking competition. Spirit of Community Awards Dinner – Maryland Live!
