Activities include hikes, home and garden tours, museum exhibits, historical reenactments, and more. Fifth Annual Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day Celebration – Hilton Baltimore BWI Airport Hotel, Linthicum Heights Friday, March 29th, 4–7 p.m. The fifth annual Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day celebration provides an opportunity for the community to thank Vietnam Veterans for their service and to give them the welcome home they should have received decades ago. The doors will open at 4 p.m. for veterans to enjoy hors d’oeuvres, socialize, and speak with representatives from veterans’ service organizations. Annapolis Symphony Orchestra: Cosmic Depth – Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, Annapolis Friday, March 29th and Saturday, March 30th, 8 p.m. The highlight of the ASO season, “Cosmic Depth” will feature the U.S. Naval Academy Glee Club as they join the Symphony for Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, conducted by Maestro Novo, and American composer Eric Whitacre’s Deep Field, conducted by the Naval Academy’s Dr. Aaron Smith. 2019 Bowie Baysox FunFest – Prince George’s Stadium, Bowie Saturday, March 30th, 10 a.m.–1:30 p.m. Join the Bowie Baysox for the 20th annual Free Family FunFest. The event will feature rides and games in Louie’s Kids Park, music and activities on the stadium concourse, and various interactive experiences from local businesses, Baysox sponsors, and charitable organizations. Senior Dog Prom – Kurtz’s Beach, Pasadena Saturday, March 30th, 6:30 p.m. Join the Senior Dog Sanctuary of Maryland for its annual tribute to senior dogs. The event will include a delicious buffet dinner, silent and live auctions, table games, a photo booth, and voting for the Prom King and Queen. Proceeds will support the Senior Dog Sanctuary. B&A Trail Marathon & Half-Marathon – Severna Park High School Sunday, March 31st, 7 a.m. Join Annapolis Striders for its 28th annual B&A Trail Marathon & 24th annual B&A Trail Half-Marathon. The race will follow USATF-certified 26.21876 and 13.10938 mule courses along the paved B&A Trail. This year, the half marathon is the Maryland State RRCA Championship Race. The RRCA Championship will award prizes for Open, Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters male and female winners. ArtFest Open House 2019 – Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, Annapolis Sunday, March 31st, 1–4 p.m. Maryland Hall’s ArtFest is a day of creativity—featuring art demonstrations, music recitals, dance performances, exhibits, hands-on activities, children’s crafts, and a Naval Academy Band concert.

Blue Jean Ball – Greensboro Volunteer Fire Company Hall, Greensboro Saturday, March 30th, 6 p.m. Join the Caroline County Humane Society for its Blue Jean Ball. The events will feature music by local DJ Steve Moody, dancing, dinner by the Chesapeake Culinary Center, live and silent auctions, and more. Proceeds benefit the Caroline County Humane Society. St. Michaels Daffodil Festival – Town of St. Michaels Saturday, March 30th and Sunday, March 31st Celebrate the tens of thousands of bright daffodils planted in St. Michaels during the second annual Daffodil Festival. Festivities include a daffodil parade on Talbot Street, contests, and historic daffodil tours hosted by the St. Michaels Museum. Participating restaurants will be offering daffodil-inspired menu items throughout the weekend. Baywater Animal Rescue Fundraiser – Scossa Restaurant & Lounge, Easton Saturday, March 30th, 6 p.m. Baywater Animal Rescue's fourth annual Stayin' Alive Fundraiser will feature an elegant four-course dinner, wine pairings, signature cocktails, and silent and live auctions. Enjoy a fun evening with fabulous food, wine, and friends while supporting a great cause. Get Pumped for Pets Run and Fun Walk – Terrapin Park, Stevensville Sunday, March 31st, 9 a.m. Join Get Pumped for Pets for their ninth annual 5K/10K/15K and 5K Fun Walk. The race begins near Terrapin Park in Stevensville and continues through the Kent Island Cross Island Trail. Finishers will receive medals, age group prizes, craft beer, and runner goodie bags. Proceeds will help save and improve the lives of animals throughout the mid-Atlantic region.

Blossom Kite Festival – National Mall, D.C. Saturday, March 30th, 10 a.m. The National Mall serves as the backdrop as thousands of kites take flight during the annual Blossom Kite Festival. Professionals and novices alike showcase their skill through a variety of competitions and demonstrations, Rokkaku Battles, and the Hot Tricks Showdown. Bring your own kites or children can make a kite at an activity station (while supplies last) to fly on the Public Field. Kites are also available for purchase onsite. Washington Nationals Opening Weekend – Nationals Park, D.C. Saturday, March 30th, 1:05 p.m. and Sunday, March 31st, 1:35 p.m. Head to Nationals Park and cheer on the Washington Nationals as they take on the New York Mets during their first home series of the 2019 season. On Saturday, the first 20,00 fans will receive a free In-Park Live Radio Lanyard. On Sunday, the Nationals host “Pups in the Park,” a unique opportunity to enjoy the game with your dog. A special ticket is required for “Pups in the Park,” and proceeds will support the Humane Rescue Alliance.
