Foodie Face Mask & Selfies
Food is not just for eating, it can also be used to make excellent face masks! Daylight saving time ends November 2, which means on-coming dark winter months. Be sure to give your facial skin some extra lovin’ while Mother Nature becomes a bitter ice queen. While I don’t usually advocate playing with your food, this is one situation where I whole-heartedly endorse it. There are plenty of homemade remedies available out there, but for the sake of time I used Lush face mask products. They’re handmade with essential oils, fresh fruits and veggies, deep cleansing clays, and nutrient rich herbs. For $6.95, it’s a hassle-free no- ainer.
I find that it’s always a good idea to involve your friends for every embarrassing situation possible; thus, the facemasks and selfies girl’s night was born. Taking care of your skin is always in style, and these fresh Lush face masks make your skin look radiant! For the sake of making my friends and I look even sillier (and to illustrate the food component of each mask) each person is wearing an ingredient from their Lush face mask. Grab your friends, or get personal with a one-on-one session, and smear some food on your face today! It’s sure to be a fun time, and your face will look and feel great! Don’t forget to take a seflie!
I would love to see all the face mask hoopla, send your foodie face mask selfies to whatsupfoodie22@gmail.com or tag whatsupfoodie on instagram!
Oatifix: oatmeal, bananas, almonds, honey
Mary is wearing oats, falls hottest trend.
Brazened Honey: kaolin clay, ginger root, lime oil, honey, spices (cardamom, cumin, turmeric, clove, parsley) fennel, free-range eggs, juniper oil, and almonds
Alyssa is wearing sliced almonds and owning it (kinda).
Cupcake: rhassoul mud, cocoa, spearmint and peppermint oils, and vanilla
Sommer is wearing fresh mint leaves like a pro.
Cosmetic Warrior: garlic, tea tree oil, green grapes, free-range egg whites, and honey
Farah is rocking sliced garlic cloves bindi-style because she’s awesome.
BB Seaweed: seaweed, rose, honey, olive oil, and aloe vera
Sarah is pretty in rose petals. Ok, I know you’re not rushing to eat rose petals for eakfast, but technically it’s edible. Besides, I didn’t have any seaweed handy.
Sacred Truth: wheatgrass, papaya
I’m wearing wheatgrass and it feels good.
I would like to thank all the friends that I dragged into this project for remaining friends with me, for allowing me to put these pictures out in the world, and for just being great in general.
