This festive gathering of library supporters, featuring food and drinks donated by area restaurants and caterers, has raised more than $150,000 to enhance and improve the library since it began in 2014. In addition to a delicious and varied array of food and drink, the event features a live auction. Guests meet and greet in the relaxed environment of the library after hours and, in addition to delicious refreshments, have the opportunity to see demonstrations of the latest innovations in technology available at all AACPL’s branches.
17th Annual Boatyard Bar & Grill 2018 Opening Day Rockfish Tournament

Whether the fish are evasive or biting like mad, whether the weather is perfect or white-cap rough, anglers and guests alike agree - participating in the Boatyard's Annual Spring Tournament is really a lot of FUN, and we hope you will think so too! Innovations 2018 – Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts

Traditional, dramatic, and contemporary ballet coalesces as the Ballet Theatre of Maryland (BTM) presents Innovations 2018 at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts. Glazunov’s classical “Raymonda Variations” makes its debut, while composer Ryan Lucas returns with his second emotionally charged, new composition. Marc Galibre’s athletically powerful, multi-media work “Vortex” makes its second appearance, and Artistic Director Dianna Cuatto promises to delight audiences with a surprise work.

The Washington College Piano Festival invites participants of all ages to further develop their talents in an immersive educational experience. Students will have the opportunity to attend workshops, take lessons, and compete and win prizes in the Washington College Piano Competition, including the chance to perform in Hotchkiss Recital Hall. Our featured guest artist, Lydia Artymiw, Distinguished McKnight Professor of Piano at the University of Minnesota, will be teaching a master class and presenting a concert as part of the Washington College Premier Artists Series. All events will be open to the public. In addition, students and families are welcome to take campus tours of the college.
