Wear your red, white, and blue to honor our Veteran’s Service on Sunday, May 24, 2020. There will be costume prizes for the best theme-dressed. Water stops and refreshments provided. The course is a flat loop including the town’s rail trail and scenic farmland west of Ridgely. Start and finish is at Martin Sutton Park. Registration opens at 6:30 a.m. on 4th Street near the skate park and the race starts at 8 a.m. Cost is $20 through May 24; $25 after May 24 or for Sleepwalker registration (“run in your dreams” from the comfort of your home but support the charity effort), and $10 for youth ages 12 and under. The 200-yard Strawberry Dash for children ages 3-5 is at 7:45 a.m. This race is in conjunction with the annual Lions Club Strawberry Festival. There will be food, vendor displays, flea market and craft sales, local non-profits will be open for business, parade at 12 noon, local music performances, shaded seating, free parking and the famous Ridgely Lions Club Strawberry Shortcake & ice cream!
