2021 INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE
LET'S CELEBRATE!!! We are so excited to announce that we will be able to hold our beloved Independence Day parade. We will celebrate the birth of our nation and the re-opening of our economy.
This year's theme is Celebrating Our CommUNITY, as our community was unified in generosity and support of each other and our struggling small businesses and non-profits.
Our Grand Marshall is Eddie Conway, owner of Garry's Grill. Eddie raised funds for 17 different charities during the pandemic, bringing in tens of thousands of dollars for others while his restaurant faced its own unbelievable challenges.
Participation in the parade is free for members and non-profits. There is a $250 entry fee for non-commercial members, but funds can be applied towards a membership in the Chamber. The entry fee can be paid online, and we will still need the application for details about the entry and contact information.
There are Sponsorships available to raise your visibility to the thousands of visitors who enjoy the parade each year.
We are also holding a decorated bike contest for children at the Chamber from 9:15 - 10:00 am, and then the bike riders can join the parade at Riggs Avenue.
We will follow whatever COVID protocols apply in July.
The parade begins on Benfield Road, proceeds to Evergreen, Left on Riggs, Right on Baltimore Annapolis, and concludes on Cypress Creek Road.
If you are interested in participating, please contact Liz or Alison at the Chamber, 410-647-3900 or info@gspacc.com. See Less
The parade will be held on Monday, July 5th, the official Federal Holiday. All of our floats and parade entries are staged at churches on Benfield Road so we are unable to hold the parade on Sunday, July 4th.
