AJ Meerwald Visit

AJ Meerwald, the official Tall Ship of New Jersey, will visit the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum from Oct. 21–23. Dockside tours, which are included with CBMM’s regular two-day admission, will be available from from 3–5pm on Oct. 21.

While docked at CBMM, AJ Meerwald will run also joint education programming with CBMM’s education staff. AJ Meerwald is operated as a hands-on sailing classroom by the Bayshore Center at Bivalve, a non-profit organization whose mission is to advance the understanding of the human impact on New Jersey’s aquatic environment through education, advocacy, and programming. BCB also operates the Delaware Bay Museum and offers shore-based programs at its campus and schooner’s home port of Bivalve on the scenic Maurice River in Cumberland County.
