Did you know that Census numbers collected every 10 years determine how federal funds are distributed to state and local communities for critical services like Medicaid, SNAP, Head Start, first responders, hospitals, and more…for the next decade?
Why should we care? Because the Cost of Silence is high! During the last decade, Anne Arundel County lost more than $43 million in federal dollars because one in five (20%) did NOT respond to Census 2010. For our community to receive the resources it needs, EVERYONE must be counted in Census 2020!
Please join us for a dynamic and informative conversation about the challenges, misconceptions and implications of Census 2020, led by Maggie Gunther Osborn, Sr. Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer, United Philanthropy Forum. Following her remarks, a panel from our community will focus on what we as individuals and organizations can and should do to ensure that everyone in Anne Arundel County is counted!
