Some help and info for moms, brought to you with the heart of a fellow, local mom, and the science and expertise of a prenatal/postpartum certified personal trainer. This class will cover the basics of building a fitness routine after giving birth. It will help you understand the building blocks of getting back into shape and what you can do to feel your best and maximize your fitness. Among the topics we will cover: -What the body goes through during and after pregnancy and how that impacts fitness. -Which exercises are safe – when and why? -How to build your strength and endurance after pregnancy. -Safe abdominal exercises to target postpartum bellies; preventing and reducing diastasis recti. -Techniques to minimize incontinence and reduce aches and pains. -How to get the most out of your exercise time. -Breastfeeding and exercise. This class is open to all levels of fitness and to those in any stage of motherhood - from those currently pregnant to those who delivered years ago. Let’s build a community of amazing local moms!
