Indian Creek School // Field Hockey, Lacrosse
For Brennan Davis, her seemingly lifelong love of field hockey and lacrosse has curtailed itself into a strong run at Indian Creek.
Her experience with lacrosse and field hockey goes all the way back to preschool and third grade, respectively.
Getting the early jump on lacrosse helped Davis and the Eagles win the school’s first IAAM C Conference lacrosse championship in 2013.
Success such as that comes from preparation and sheer drive. In the rare instance that she doesn’t feel motivated, Davis says her mom is quick to persuade her.
“She always gets me in gear for school and if I am not working hard enough she tells me straight up that I need to up my game and it helps me,” Davis says.
At Indian Creek, Davis is a member of the National Honor Society, the National Spanish Honor Society, and has worked the last two summers as a summer camp counselor. She’s also a field hockey referee in her spare time. Her favorite hobby is boating because, as she puts it, “being out on the water is my happy place.”
She will be attending University of Richmond, where she plans to major in one of the life sciences. She is currently in the Science, Technology Engineering & Math (STEM) program at Indian Creek, where her love for science and natural knack of taking a hands-on approach to assignments is paying off.
