Volunteers from the Dorchester General Hospital Auxiliary were recently honored for achieving service milestones. More than 100 active auxiliary members volunteered 18,244 hours from April 1, 2010 through March 31, 2011 in the hospital and at the Robin Hood Shop.
Twenty Auxiliary members received awards for their lifetime hours of service. Debbie Thomas topped the list with 6,000 hours. Recognized for 5,000 hours of service were Norma Lee Cusick, Barbara Lipe for 4,000 hours and Mary Lee Foxwell for 3,000 hours.
Other honorees were Joy Carpenter, Eve Coghlan, Nancy Gale, Richard Hargis and Kathy Potter for 2,000 hours; Alexandria Anderson-Snell, Vera Block, June McKelvey and Alice Saxelby for 1,000 hours; JoAnn Dixon, Rosalie Dolan and Laura Schultz for 500 hours; and Debbie Asmussen, Susan Buscemi, Carol Livingston and Pamela Pinder for 250 hours.
