The Boychoir is currently accepting applicants for the training choir, as well as for the top-tier touring/performing ensembles. Members are drawn from throughout the State of Maryland and receive private voice lessons, as well as instruction in sight-singing and music theory. The choir also offers boys national and international performance opportunities and a chance to grow socially. Applications are being accepted during the months of October and November. You may call (410) 554-8644 to schedule an audition.
The Maryland State Boychoir (MSB) was founded in 1987 by Artistic Director, Frank Cimino. It is a diverse group of over 130 boys who are united in their love of singing. The mission of the MSB is to foster the boychoir tradition by offering talented boys from all backgrounds an opportunity to sing and build self-esteem, self-discipline, and character. The MSB makes its home in one of Baltimore City’s historical landmarks, the Maryland State Boychoir Center for the Arts (formerly the Cathedral Church of St. Matthew), 3400 Norman Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland.
