The Avergan Foundation's Great Gatsby-inspired “Hush-Hush Speakeasy” event was held April 17th at Crush Kitchen and Winehouse in Annapolis. The memorable evening, filled with an extravaganza of entertainment, raised almost $4,000 to help children on the autism spectrum.
Founders Tom and Allison Barnhill of Annapolis welcomed more than 60 enthusiastic guests to the fundraising event - the ladies came dressed in flapper garb, donning velvet, sequins, fringe, and feathers, while the men favored pinstripes, bow ties, newsboy caps, and fedoras. A variety of unusual and creative 1920s-inspired entertainment, such as Charleston dance lessons, a vaudeville-inspired hoop performance by Spinnabel Lee Entertainment, and a photo booth, created lasting memories for all who attended.
