brUnified Community Connections 12th Annual Golf Classic, presented by Dimensional Health Care Associates, is a day-long benefit which includes 18 holes of golf, lunch, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres as well as contests and raffle drawings. All proceeds from this tournament will benefit children and adults with disabilities.

This festival is family friendly including all the festival must haves: food trucks, vendors, a kid zone, live music, appearances by Ravens players, and hopefully lots of sunshine! ASPCA Held a Horse Day

brThe Big Purple Barn will be hosting their semi-annual ASPCA Help a Horse Day fundraiser at the Purple Barn in Bowie. This is a free family oriented activity with the theme being "Unicorns and Rainbows". Come dressed for the occasion! There will be many activities for children and an opportunity to have pictures taken with ponies and horses. The Purple Barn is a nonprofit--501(c)3--organization that rescues horses, cares for them and uses these horses as outreach ambassadors and educators for the public. Please come and meet "The Herd".

brThe Imaginators, written by Dwayne Hartford and directed by Lynne Streeter Childress, is the story of three children and the power of imagination. Anne and Tim have just moved to a new town. Anne refuses to play with her little brother, Tim, fearing that kids at her new school will see them and make fun of her. Then they meet the girl from next door, the fabulous Nina Frances Elizabeth Vanderhelden. Using moving boxes and other objects found in the garage, Nina takes an eager Tim and a reluctant Anne on a great make-believe adventure. The three battle the child-eating monster, the Mooklecratz. The children discover their own strengths, the value of cooperation, and the unlimited power of their imaginations as they figure out how to defeat the beast. The play encourages children and adults alike never to lose their sense of play and creativity.
