LeAnn Rimes Takes It Personal on Newest Album, Remnants
Releasing her very first album, Blue, when she was only 13-years-old, LeAnn Rimes has continued to deliver a virtuoso mastery of harmonies, selling over 44 million albums and becoming the youngest Grammy-award recipient of all time. brRimes’ 16th studio album, Remnants, released in early February 2017, presents many aspects of love, and weaves together her powerhouse vocals with a soulful mixture of musical genres. The album debuted at No. 4 on Billboard’s Independent Album Chart and peaked at No. 3 on iTunes overall charts.

Take a walk through What’s Up? Media’s second floor lobby to view original artwork highlighting the artists of Anne Arundel County at the meet the artist reception Thursday, April 20th, 5:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. The exhibit will be on display now through July 14th, 7 a.m.–7 p.m. Monday through Friday. This concert supports both The Musical Autist, a local nonprofit, and the AACPS performing and Visual Arts program. Young artists from both organizations, as well as professional artists from the greater Annapolis area, will be featured in this dynamic and exciting performance. 15% of all proceeds will be donated to benefit initiatives to build a Musical Autist Coffeehouse and to air condition the PVA Theatre at Studio 39.

State of the Rivers Party

brAmerica’s VetDogs, a national New York-based non-profit that provides specially trained guide and service dogs free of charge to disabled veterans and first responders, is excited to host its Seventh Annual Kent Island/Annapolis Run, Dog Walk and Fun Run. Take part in a timed 10K or 5K race, a leisurely 2-mile family-friendly dog walk, or a 1-mile fun run. Event guests of honor include Army Command Sergeant Major Gretchen Evans, who received a hearing dog from the VetDogs program, and Charlie - NBC’s Today ‘puppy with a purpose’. All proceeds will benefit the VetDogs service dog programs.

Using moving boxes and other objects found in the garage, Nina takes an eager Tim and a reluctant Anne on a great make-believe adventure. The three battle the child-eating monster, the Mooklecratz. The children discover their own strengths, the value of cooperation, and the unlimited power of their imaginations as they figure out how to defeat the beast. The play encourages children and adults alike never to lose their sense of play and creativity.
