brMagician Michael Kaminskas is regarded by critics and peers alike as one of the top sleight-of-hand artists in the world today. He has authored several books, as well as created numerous effects and instructional DVD's for the professional magician. His work and talent has earned him numerous awards from within the professional magic community and has even been featured on the cover of MUM, the trade periodical of the oldest magic organization in the world.
Kaminskas has carved a niche out for himself, touring the tradeshow circuit as a Corporate Magician. Blending old-school magic with modern flare and business acumen, Kaminskas is a multifaceted entertainment expert. His previous one-man show entitled Imagine, went completely sold out for three years straight. He is set to double that success with his new show, Parlour Tricks!

brThe Baltimore Station will host its 25th Annual Homerun for Recovery fundraiser at PBR Baltimore in Power Plant Live! Presented by Fortego, LLC, the sports-themed event will benefit The Baltimore Station’s residential treatment center and therapeutic programs for veterans and others who are transitioning through the cycle of poverty, addiction, and homelessness to self-sufficiency. Homerun for Recovery features a wide variety of gourmet fare, local wines, and micro brews for guests to enjoy responsibly. Great music and live and silent auctions will run throughout the evening. All proceeds from ticket sales and auctions benefit The Baltimore Station and its residents in recovery.
Day Out With Thomas: The Friendship Tour 2017

brAll aboard! Thomas the Tank Engine invites little engineers to join him for a day of friendship and family fun. Children everywhere can spend a day with their friend Thomas when the #1 Engine pulls into the B&O Railroad Museum. Day Out with Thomas is a fun-filled event that provides children of all ages the opportunity to climb aboard and take a ride with Thomas as well as participate in Thomas & Friends™ themed activities. Attendees will be able to participate in events that encourage and celebrate friendship including photo opportunities, crafts, and a fun activity that invites kids to collect passport stamps throughout the day to receive a trio of Day Out With Thomas friendship bracelets.

brAs America's largest student-run three day festival, The Johns Hopkins Spring Fair is about bringing the greater Baltimore area the best of the best each and every year. There will be an extensive number of events right on the Johns Hopkins university campus which include but are not limited to carnival rides, games and contests, an ever-expanding food court, and beer garden. This is shaping up to be the best Spring Fair weekend Hopkins has seen yet!
Fourth Annual Be A Hero Gala

brBaltimore Child Abuse Center (BCAC) will hold its fourth annual Be A Hero gala at the historic Lord Baltimore Hotel. The event honors members of the Baltimore community for their commitment to keeping children safe from sexual abuse, trauma, other Adverse Childhood Experiences, and raises the necessary funds for BCAC to continue its important work in the community.
ROAR for Kids
brThis is the third race raising awareness for those who suffer from PTSD and will take place at Gootee’s Marine, Inc. in lower Dorchester County. Runners will experience ten gorgeous, flat miles through woods and marshy waterways over small bridges, on flat, fast roads. The course is remarkable, a true snapshot of the natural beauty of the area.

brKennedy Krieger Institute will once again bring the community together for its annual fundraiser now called ROAR for Kids, presented by CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield and taking place at Oregon Ridge Park in Cockeysville. Families, friends, and supporters will come together to run, walk, and gather with a united “ROAR” to raise awareness and funds for research and 16 different programs to help kids at the Institute. After running or walking, participants will enjoy the family festival, featuring music, face painting, a balloon artist, coloring station, a bean-bag toss, oversized croquet, refreshments, and the always-popular Mascot Challenge!

The event will feature three running events in honor of Baltimore Ravens player O.J. Brigance’s jersey number (57) – a timed 5.7K run, a 1.57 mile family run/walk, and a Kid’s Fun Run for youth ages eight and under. A Celebration Village with food, beverages, music, and a Kid’s Fun Zone will follow the races.

They will be offering over 50 incredible craft beers and a wide variety of delicious foods from the buffet. This event will also raise money for The Arc of Southern Maryland.

brThe fifth annual Charm City Bluegrass Festival is hosting an all-day celebration of bluegrass in Druid Hill Park with three stages, 14 bands, and 12 hours of family-friendly festivities including local food, limited release beer from Union Brewery, artists, kid’s games, crafts, spontaneous jam sessions, and more. The music lineup features a range of traditional to progressive bluegrass, with artists like The Long Below and Chris Jacobs while the food lineup features The Cardinal Tavern, The Local Oyster, The Charmery, Center Cut Doughnuts and more. Continuing its dedication to supporting the Baltimore community, $2 from each ticket sold will be donated to the Howard Peters Rawlings Conservatory and Botanic Gardens and the festival will feature a raffle to benefit Believe in Music—a nonprofit aimed to giving Baltimore students a multifaceted music education.
