Join the City of Annapolis for Annapolis Rising: A Benefit Concert for the Capital Gazette, The First Responders, and Free Press. The concert will be headlined by Maryland-based rock group Good Charlotte and will also include performances by several local bands and musicians. Guest speakers include Washington Post Editor Marty Baron and comedian Jordan Klepper. Proceeds will benefit the Capital Gazette Families Fund and Capital Gazette Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Annapolis Chamber Music Festival: The Color of Sound – Unitarian Universalist Church of Annapolis

Twelve young classical musicians from around the world come together every August to bring the best of chamber music, old and new, to the capital of Maryland. The works chosen for The Color of Sound are written in different styles and time periods, yet they all derive beauty from skillfully mixing the distinctive sounds of each instrument into unusual combinations.

Annapolis Sailor's Triathlon – Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium

One of the most scenic triathlons in the Mid-Atlantic! Swim 500m at the end of City Dock, next to the Naval Academy. Bike out of town into Anne Arundel County to Greenbury Point, where you have the option of a 20k road-only course, or take a 16k hybrid bike off road onto the hard packed gravel and dirt trail, where you have a great view of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. Finish off a great sprint triathlon with a great post-race party! Join your friends and the Annapolis community for food, Michelob Ultra and non-alcoholic beverages, and fun.

Thunder on the Narrows has moved to Cambridge and become Thunder on the Choptank. Spend a weekend watching boats race on Hambrooks Bay off the Choptank River. Hosted by the Kent Narrows Racing Association with help from the Cambridge Power Boat Racing Association, this event will feature inboard, and vintage boats. Bring the whole family to Great Marsh Park to watch the action.

Hop(e), Skip & Jump 5K and Fun Walk – Kinder Park Farm, Millersville

Join Anne Arundel Recreation and Parks for the annual Hope(e), Skip & Jump 5K and Fun Walk. The 5K race course is on a combination of paved roadways and off-road trails throughout the park. Participants may run or walk and will be timed. All proceeds from the race go to Recreation Deeds for Special Needs, a local non-profit dedicated to making recreation and leisure opportunities accessible to all Anne Arundel County residents.
