Enjoy freshly steamed No. 1 male crabs, Maryland vegetable crab soup, corn on the cob, pulled pork, hot dogs, watermelon, and beer and soda, all while supporting local non-profits. 2019 Navy Football Fan Fest – Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, Annapolis Saturday, August 3rd, 10 a.m. Navy fans are invited to the 2019 Navy Football Fan Fest/Media Day. Navy players will be signing autographs, interacting with fans on the field, and taking photographs. Other activities include inflatable games and giveaways. The first 250 kids will receive a free T-shirt. First Sunday Arts Festival – West Street and Church Circle, Annapolis Sunday, August 4th, 11 a.m. Shop from 130 local and regional artists, eat at outdoor cafés and food trucks, and enjoy entertainment throughout the event on the first Sunday of each month, May through November, on West Street. Naval Academy Band Concert – Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, Annapolis Sunday, August 4th, 4 p.m. The Naval Academy Band’s Superintendent’s Combo will present an afternoon of jazz! Under the direction of Chief Musician Colin Renick on saxophones and clarinet, the Superintendent’s Combo will perform a stroll through jazz history, from Dixieland to bebop, and from swing to fusion and funk. Chesapeake Bay Balloon Festival – Triple Creek Winery, Cordova Friday, August 2nd through Sunday, August 4th Maryland’s largest hot air balloon festival returns to Triple Creek Vineyards. Guests can enjoy tethered balloon rides, delicious food from local vendors, and purchase unique goods from craft vendors. The Kids Zone will feature face painting, hay rides, bounce houses, and more. Kids’ Fishing Derby – Long Wharf Park, Cambridge Saturday, August 3rd, 12 p.m. The Mid-Shore Fishing Club is hosting a free Kids Fishing Derby. Children ages five to 12 are eligible to participate and must be accompanied by a guardian. Bait and rods will be provided, but children may bring their own rod. A certificate of participation will be awarded and prizes will be given to the largest rockfish, white perch, catfish, spot, and croaker. Pizza and water will be provided for the children after the derby.
